We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly process, ensuring that products are assembled accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Profile

  • Assembly of Category ‘A’ High Value Forged Titanium Assemblies to Customer Specifications, within a Quality Critical, Controlled Environment.

Scope and Responsibilities

  • Assembly of Pylons within a controlled environment, using Sorion Pick to light System.
  • Safe WIP Moving, Handling, Storage.
  • Collect materials and equipment required for the process.
  • Use of Sealant to seal assemblies. Safe working within COSHH Procedures.
  • Use of DC Torque and Angle Drivers to assemble pylons.
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report issues, Malfunction, or Defective Parts under STOP-CALL-WAIT Escalation procedures.
  • Maintain Equipment in good condition, safe storage.
  • Maintain Housekeeping, working to 5s conditions.

Key Technical / Professional Competencies

  • Use of Overhead Pendant Crane.
  • Read, Understand, and Use Technical Instruction- Follow Established Procedures.
  • Use of DC Torque and Angle Drivers to assemble pylons.
  • Use a variety of electronic scanning and reporting tools
  • Keep Records of Production Quantities, Part traceability.
  • Use and Care of Part Marking Equipment.
  • Use of Packing/Banding Equipment.

Experience

  • 2-5yrs experience in an Assembly Environment, Automotive or Aerospace preferred.
  • Working with, reading Drawings/Instructions/SOP’s
  • Knowledge of Stock and Inventory Control.
  • Use of Powered DC Hand tools for assembly. Torque and Angle DC tooling preferred
  • Working within a Quality Critical environment
  • Working within SQDCP Controlled Environment.
  • Familiar with Batch Traceability.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Computer Literate, Job involves use of Pick To Light System
  • Good Literacy, Numeracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.43 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
